Admissions to the Government Polytechnic Buxar, are conducted through the Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) ONLY, administered by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). Eligibility:

• First Year (1st Semester): Candidate should have 10th-grade pass and cleared Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE).

• Second Year (3rd Semester): Candidates who have passed ITI, 12th or other vocational courses are eligible for direct admission through the DCECE (LE) examination, conducted by the BCECEB.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) was established under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995. The board conducts annual competitive examinations for admissions into various professional courses in Medical, Engineering, and Agricultural streams across institutions in Bihar.
