Admission

Admissions to the Government Polytechnic Buxar, are conducted through the Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) ONLY, administered by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). Eligibility:

  • First Year (1st Semester): Candidate should have 10th-grade pass and cleared Diploma Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE).

  • Second Year (3rd Semester): Candidates who have passed ITI, 12th or other vocational courses are eligible for direct admission through the DCECE (LE) examination, conducted by the BCECEB.

 

About BCECEB:

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) was established under the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995. The board conducts annual competitive examinations for admissions into various professional courses in Medical, Engineering, and Agricultural streams across institutions in Bihar.

Anti Ragging

All newly admitted students as well as old students are required to submit an affidavit in accordance with regulations laid by UGC to curb the ragging in Academic Institutions/ Universities. The affidavit can be submitted either Online or Offline. But students are encouraged to submit it Online.​​

For ONLINE submission:

  • Visit https://www.antiragging.in/index.html

  • Click => Undertaking => Register

  • Choose your Educational Institution Type as => "Standalone"

  • ​Fill the details carefully.

  • Select the institution as "GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC BUXAR (S17274)"

  • In column of Director's Name, enter the Principal's Name and their Mobile (Available on Website)

  • "Name of Course" will be your "Branch Name".

  • Nearest Police Station is "Itarhi".

  • After submission, note down the Application Reference Number and download a copy of affidavit.

  • You can also download the Student's Anti Ragging Undertaking and the Parents Anti Ragging Undertaking from Website. Click here to Download.

  • The student will receive an e-mail with his/her registration number. The student will forward that e-mail to the college e-mail: contact@gpbuxar.ac.in & ushakiran@gpbuxar.ac.in.

  • Students are also advised to submit a hard copy of anti ragging affidavit to the admission office.
